...not a trial lawyer. (Appellate lawyers make legal arguments, but never have to question live witnesses in a court of law.)
Missed his shot at the Hannity soundbite, too:
Republicans have really lost the plot on this Russia stuff. They’ve convinced themselves Hillary Clinton colluded with the Russians to defeat herself, and the FBI was scheming against Trump while publicly hurting Clinton. Total nonsense. https://t.co/0zK7VqFa03— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) August 5, 2020

Now on CSPAN, Sally Yates eating Lindsey Graham’s lunch for him.— Charles P. Pierce (@CharlesPPierce) August 5, 2020
Told ya! Kinda like this, which caused Lindseed to move ASAP to another Senator:
Later that same day:This hearing is a vehicle for Lindsey Graham to do Trump's bidding. Note Graham's complete lack of curiosity in following up on Yates's revelation that George Papadopoulos "was connected with Russian intelligence." A total farce. pic.twitter.com/DYiZX1Pho5— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) August 5, 2020
BREAKING: Sally Yates has confirmed once again that the FBI was NEVER surveiling Michael Flynn. Even Lindsey Graham had no response.— Mrs. Krassenstein (@HKrassenstein) August 5, 2020
In other words, the idea that Flynn was being “spied on,” was just another lie by Trump to cover his own butt.
Yeah, I'd say this hearing is going particularly well. Papadopolous was a Russian asset; Flynn was not under FBI surveillance. Nice job, Lindsay.
