This insurrectionist snake is running for President.

You can count on a lot of visits from @ProjectLincoln, Josh.
You might want to consider another line of work, you filth. https://t.co/abWr8LmHI9
As I said, we have photos of these clowns. Criminal trespass and vandalism of government property seems too low. Let's go for seditious conspiracy, and rope the former (by then) POTUS into it.Don't need to be Lenny Briscoe to crack this case. https://t.co/Iypy0ly7YU

Even as we have a longer / larger debate over D.C. statehood, Congress should immediately give the Mayor of the District of Columbia the same control over the D.C. National Guard that every other Governor (including in federal territories) has over their state/territorial Guard.

When this happened on 9/11 it was because terrorists turned planes into missiles & were thought to possibly be targeting the capitol. Today, the threat is a direct result of Trump’s lies about the election, the GOP’s complicity in spreading the lies & the anger Trump incited. https://t.co/Y8KqXxg980

It's likely too late for the president to do much to stop what's happening right now, even if he was willing to. But he has 14 days left of his term and now he has a playbook for how he can demonstrate what he sees as power. What happens over 14 days?

"...it's not protest, it's insurrection." President-elect Joe Biden.Biden making a public statement about the seditious assault on the Capitol before Trump says everything that you need to know.

Biden: "The words of a president matter no matter how good or bad that president is ... I call on President Trump to go on national television now to fulfill his oath and defend the Constitution and demand an end to this siege." pic.twitter.com/MSDhGmia3C

And yet, Trump can't so much as announce this in public:The best thing @realdonaldtrump could do right now is to address the nation from the Oval Office and condemn the riots. A peaceful transition of power is essential to the country and needs to take place on 1/20.

The second sentence is generic, as if it's violence anywhere. The tweet doesn't even mention the Capitol. https://t.co/jUwyQEUx3G

Gonna be a long two weeks. The protesters didn't hang a US flag from the Capitol balcony. They hung a Trump flag.
