Yeah, the whole contretemps is stupid. The real issue to me is that harmonica.

Granted, the nadir of public performances of the national anthem was Roseanne Barr screeching it out. But a harmonica? Why not a kazoo? Or a jaw’s harp? Or spoons?

I’m not a big fan of the star-spangled what’s-it, but shouldn’t we show the national anthem some respect?

Or we could just stop playing it at sports events. That’s where all our troubles begin.
