It’s Trump’s Republican Party…

And we’re just supposed to bow down to it:

In a deranged rant, Trump says Barr, Romney and Paul Ryan are conspiring with big donors and two GOP candidates running against him. He says they are disloyal losers with no talent and they “eat their young” by opposing him. He says “Republican Nation” must not listen to them.
The "two GOP candidates":
In interviews with Fox News, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said Trump's comment "just doesn’t make any sense."
And former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who served as ambassador to the United Nations in the Trump administration, emphasized "we can’t be doing this. You don’t need to be talking about how good Hezbollah is, and you don’t need to be talking about how bad Netanyahu is."
.…
I don’t know what he was doing. I know they got him on the teleprompter. When he gets off that teleprompter, then there’s things that happen," DeSantis argued, as he pointed to Trump. "But the reality is this is the time to be strong, it’s a time for moral clarity and to make sure that Israel is able to defend itself to the hilt."
Haley charged that Trump "can’t leave the past alone. I’m mean everything that he thinks about is how someone treated him or what they said to him or what happened in the past. The world is a dangerous place. We’ve got to be dealing with our issues straight on. Focused, disciplined, and ready to go."
I don’t think even Trump is paying attention to Pence:
Asked about the controversy, Trump's two-time running-mate, former Vice President Mike Pence shook his head as he told Fox News on Friday that he "found the former president's comments to be reckless and irresponsible."
It’s still a long way to November, 2024. And Trump has, for certain, at least one criminal trial between now and then. Besides the imminent loss of his business and, very likely, most of his properties, including MAL. Even with appeals that’s likely to be taking effect by this time next year. It’s almost a certainty no one wants to do business with those defendants right now, anyway, nor in the certain/uncertain, future.

He’s only going to get worse in the next 13 months.

And off-topic, but speaking of things that wouldn’t have happened if Trump were in office:
Hamas feels abandoned by Iran. It appears plan was for Hizbollah to get involved but US threats against Iran stopped that. The original Hamas plan hasn’t worked out not because of Israeli attacks (which Hamas would have predicted) but because Iran effectively betrayed them
