How does government work, again?Leavitt on Jill Biden: She's still lying to the American people. She still thinks the American public are so stupid that they will believe her lies. It’s insulting. She needs to answer for it. pic.twitter.com/5O4QRlf4xX

Election results suspend the rule of law. For Republicans, only.Reporter: Why would other countries continue these trade deal negotiations given the ruling?
— Acyn (@Acyn) May 29, 2025
Leavitt: Because other countries around the world have faith in the negotiator in chief, Donald J. Trump. And they also probably see how ridiculous this ruling is.. pic.twitter.com/hIcr6gzzyq
The suit in Judge Chutkan’s court is looming large.Leavitt: Three judges of the U.S. Court of international trade abused their judicial power to usurp the authority of President Trump to stop him from carrying out the mandate that the American people gave him. pic.twitter.com/W6ecAMxsB0

NOTUS: A NOTUS investigation found that the MAHA commission report cites studies that appear to not exist. Does the WH have confidence that the info coming from HHS can be trusted? The NOTUS report found the study was rife with false sources, and several researchers contacted by NOTUS denied authorship of the “sources” listed.
LEAVITT: Yes. I understand there were some formatting issues, but it does not negate the substance of the report.
NOTUS: Did they use AI?
LEAVITT: I can't speak to that
"It’s not clear that anyone wrote the study cited in the MAHA report."
Wow. If these were freshman, caught using ChatGPT that made up bogus studies, they'd get flunked or worse.
IANAL, but I find it interesting and even fun to read rulings (including "bad" ones). The courts dealing with the tariffs have been especially riveting in their analyses of jurisdiction, statutory constraints, separation of powers and non-delegation, etc. And for some strange reason, 'ultra vires' appears a lot...
ReplyDeleteIf I were a teacher and I saw evidence of using AI to write a paper I'd fail them on the spot and refuse to have them in another class. That should be the death penalty for someone being in college.
