In the late ‘70’s,as the ‘60’s were finally ebbing, and Willie and Waylon and the boys were starting up “outlaw country music” in Austin, the phrase in that title was a play on the ‘60’s bumper sticker “America: Love It or Leave It.” The joke was that Lubbock was a redneck oasis everyone wanted to leave anyway. The phrase usually concluded with: “Last one out, please turn off the light.”π‘Lubbock County voted for President Trump by 40 points. Tonight 4,000 people showed up at our rally. Texans are ready for change. https://t.co/oUU0QfeUE4

Trump was in Lubbock when Talarico was. He drew about 4000 attendees. Trump brags about his overflow whether it’s there or not. Talarico had lines stretching several blocks. The campaign had to change venues to accommodate them. In Lubbock: a ruby red city in a ruby red area of a ruby red state.
Or is it, now? π€
