Beirut after 19 days

I was able to save this from the NYT front page. Use the link and you can toggle from one to the other, and see some color in the earlier photo.

The labels (at the link) will tell you what some of it is: schools, a church, a hospital, a mosque. Israel claims this is where Hezbollah was headquartered.

But I seriously doubt every building in this picture was owned, lock, stock, and barrel, by Hezbollah, and used as either a munitions storage area or a missile launch site.

Perhaps I'm just cynical...
