I’m intrigued by the talking heads on CNN (trapped in early morning hotel hell) who think this answer is terrible and evasive.

The speaker’s a newly-elected city council member who was the ISD police chief. He knows there’s a great deal of contradictory information out there. He’s not the central information exchange or the final arbiter of what happened.

And 21 people in Uvalde have yet to be buried.

Right now the real story is them, and the 233 mass shootings this year alone (or is it 234? Or 235 now? It’s hard to keep up.) Not the media’s hurt fee-fees.
