“Really Profound Political Implications“?

“Really profound political implications”? Really?

How many people know who “Jack” is? Of that number, how many give a shit about his political views?

Elmo is more widely known; but if he’s a political player, Ron DeSantis is the second coming of Bill Clinton (and to be clear, on the stump DeSantis is the anti-Clinton. He’s a black hole of political charisma and human appeal.)

Zuckerberg apparently has political opinions, but they seem entirely related to Facebook accruing more power for itself (even as Facebook becomes the cable TV of the intertoobs: of interest only to an elderly and rapidly diminishing demographic).

A couple of tech bros promoting fascism has profound political implications? Let me just cite Jen Psaki:
The true “profound political implications” are Joe Biden’s lifetime of political knowledge and skills at both politics and how to make government work. Elmo can barely keep a car company going, blows up his rockets, and grossly overpaid for a once important social media company and is driving it into the ground because it is now primarily attractive to incels and white supremacists. What about any of that spells “success,” either in business or politics? And Jack? Most of the country still doesn’t know who Jack is. The few who do mostly know him as the guy who sold Twitter to Elmo. What are the really profound political implications in that?
