It was a matter of fuel economy as measured by passenger miles. Had Alito not accepted the trip, it would have been the moral equivalent of wasting fuel.

Why is a Supreme Court Justice alleging a news organization "misleads its readers" and "levels false charges" based on questions for a story that has not been published yet? On its face it seems both unfair and inaccurate.
