Judge Engoron's Valuation of Mar-a-Lago, the most spectacular property in Palm Beach, Florida, IS FRAUDULENT!It can’t be, as a matter of law. It may be in error, in the face of appraisals that are higher or lower, but it’s merely a finding of fact.
The kind of thing appellate courts can’t change.
It’s also a fact irrelevant to the findings of fraud, which Trump is not contesting in public. He’s called the judge and the AG racists, but he hasn’t said his business practices are not fraudulent. He hasn’t even tried.
Trump is upset that he won’t appear as rich in public as he actually isn’t. That’s why he claimed his 10,000 sf. apartment in Trump Tower is 30,000 sf. (That’s in the court record.) It just sounds like he’s so much richer.
But, as Mark Cuban said, a billionaire doesn’t do a reality TV show.
Every time Trump complains, he brings up the value of MAL. That’s not going to come up in court, except as it might figure in the cost of disgorgement, and nothing he rants about is going to do anything but piss off the judge.
Trump remains a genius.
