I’m a lawyer and extensively trained in textual interpretation as well as the finer points of exegesis, and even I know “appears to be saying” is a bizarrely euphemistic and circumlocutory way of saying “I can’t say he said what he obviously said because I must represent ‘objectivity.’”Trump here appears to be saying he has the cash for the bond his folks have indicated he doesn’t have and therefore dozens of companies turned him down (and that he planned to self fund the campaign, which is also a new claim) pic.twitter.com/LcocHdfd6x
