AI is analogous to a calculator as a time saving tool IF you already know how to do the operation and can check the results if they don't look right. BUT, they erode the ability to do the operation and, eventually, to ever know if the answer is true. In our current circumstances, anything that helps train people to accept anything that they are told is alarming.
