“Isn’t This Embarrassing?”

Der Orange Fuehrer has to praise himself:

I couldn't care less. Honestly, I could. All I do is run the country. Well, the economic numbers, you saw them today, they're setting records," said Trump.

The president then launched into an aside about the state of the economy and heated clashes between protesters and law enforcement agents in Los Angeles.

"We took $88 billion in tariffs in two months. Far beyond what anybody expected. There's no inflation. People are happy. People are wealthy. The country is getting back to strength again. That's what I care about. And we're going to have a safe country. We're not going to have what would have happened in Los Angeles, remember? If I wasn't there? If I didn’t act quickly on that, Los Angeles would be burning to the ground right now."
Earlier that same day:
“A Federal Appeals Court has just ruled that the United States can use TARIFFS to protect itself against other countries. A great and important win for the U.S."
No. That didn’t happen at all. The Court of Appeals for the Federal District ruled that this case is so important and raises such unique questions, it should not be left to the usual process where a 3 judge panel reviews briefs, hears arguments, issues a decision, that can then be appealed to the whole court (12 judges ), before it can be appealed to the Supremes.

Instead, the 12 judge court will sit en banc and hear arguments on July 31, with briefs due before that time.  This could well mean the trial court opinion is upheld sooner than might otherwise be the case. A victory? Not nearly.

Trump continues to hear what he wants to hear, and disregard the rest. Or maybe his excuse is that Stephen Miller explained it to him.

Isn’t this embarrassing? 🙈
