What term in “flash flood” do you fail to grasp, Michigander?Rest easy knowing Our Secretary of Homeland Security is unable to grasp how a several hours advance warning of a deadly flood could have prevented tragedy. https://t.co/tFHguHTO4S

I heard this morning, from a source in Texas, that the county most at risk considered but failed to set up a warning system because they decided the fifty-thousand that was the estimate for it was too high. I don't know if that's true or not but I can assure you there are Republicans in Maine, New Hampshire and everywhere who would make that kind of a decision and have.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, anything that is bad for Trump is good, since so little of the actual evil he does ever comes back to bite him. He is the prime example of the impunity of the white, male and rich being immune from the law.
Yes, the county admitted nobody wanted to pay for an early warning system. Probably because the ranchers know the weather and the risks, and don’t take account of the many camps in the area. And don’t care that much about them. Plenty of problems being exposed here. What will be done about them, is another question.
