When The Unitary Executive Can’t Unify His Own Thoughts

The Supremes are hearing the issue of Trump’s authority to impose tariffs, and I’m honestly wondering if this πŸ‘† will be on their minds. It’s a perfect example of why one person cannot declare war, or set foreign policy, or appoint ambassadors, cabinet members, or federal judges, on their own authority.

Which completely undermines the application of their idiotic unitary executive theory, so of course they’ll ignore it. Except they still won’t let Trump fire Federal Reserve bankers just because he wants to. I mean, aside from this: What other evidence is there that Trump is wholly unfit to be the poster boy for a crackpot legal theory?

So who knows what they’ll do?

  1. It is grimly amusing that, whoever Roberts & Co assumed would be the first Unitary Executive, they ended up with Trump.
