This Isn’t Rocket Science

A trade agreement with a foreign country is not enforceable until enabling legislation (like the NAFTA Implementation Act) is signed into law.

None of Trump’s “trade deals” mean shit. Made up, or actually the result of negotiations, the result is the same: bupkis. He never presents one to Congress, or expects enabling legislation to pass. Journalists, especially, should know this. This isn’t news.

I sometimes think that if the collective brain power of U.S. journalists were matches, they still couldn’t strike a spark.
