Or just really screw over office morale as courts appoint interims, and the contested interims insist it’s their job. It’s no way to run a railroad. But this Administration’s attitude toward court orders was pretty clearly stated by Kristi Noem:

I wasn't even trying when I read that, I thought, that odor's from South Dakota. It's hard to figure out which of them is worst but I think they take turns and she's gotten a lot more of those than a few of the others.
