This, of course, cannot be allowed. As the questioning of My. Col. Vindman established, only Trump is allowed to be important, or have any authority, or even to be naive and incompetent. He is the only person in the Administration who doesn't know what he's doing or understand the consequences of his actions. That's his criminal defense and he's the only one allowed to have it.
