Curfew expires: At 9 a.m. ET the curfew in place for pockets of downtown LA where demonstrations in the city have been concentrated will be lifted. Mayor Karen Bass said it could be in effect for a few days. It covers an area of about 1 square mile, and will impact fewer than 100,000 of LA’s 4 million residents, according to authorities. And out of control:
• Growing arrest count: The number of people arrested during the LA protests keeps climbing, with nearly 200 taken into custody yesterday — before the curfew. The mayor said that 23 businesses were looted during four days of protests. The Marines are coming....eventually:
Marines on standby: About 700 Marines have been activated to help protect federal personnel and property. They are standing by and awaiting orders outside LA, US officials told CNN.And the city is clearly out of control:
A few more days of this and Trump will have to occupy the entire state. In this video I compare footage from last night's episode of "Hannity" where he included a live feed from the protests in Los Angeles to archived footage from the January 6th riots. It's pretty clear the two events are not at all alike. pic.twitter.com/grrISXj6OM
