Oil and gas prices are going to skyrocket even more.
Bravo, Donald Trump.
🙄
"I encourage the Chinese government in Beijing to call them about that, because they heavily depend on the Straits of Hormuz for their oil," said Rubio, who also serves as national security adviser.Given this administration, did Rubio make a formal request of China, or did he just hope somebody at the embassy was watching NBC this morning? Like his boss would do.
"If they do that, it will be another terrible mistake. It's economic suicide for them if they do it. And we retain options to deal with that, but other countries should be looking at that as well. It would hurt other countries' economies a lot worse than ours."
The Iranian Parliament has approved a measure to close the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil choke point, after the United States bombed three nuclear sites in Iran, according to Iranian state media on Sunday. My guess is, Beijing will let Trump take this one. TACO, after all, is a rule of nature, second only to ETTD.
While the Parliament has voted in favor of closing the strait, the final decision rests with the country’s Supreme National Security Council, according to state media.
Closing the strait, located between Iran and Oman, could have serious implications for both the global and U.S. economy.
