Unfit

I’ve had a license to practice law for 36 years and I am morally certain that I’ve never met a lawyer who couldn’t truthfully, emphatically, and categorically deny ever having counseled anyone to say “fuck you” to a court.
I had a few clients who wanted to express that sentiment. I always counseled against it. Even people on the intertoobs who want to say it to the Supremes (that sentiment is not new, by the way). The system works better when you don’t indulge adolescent feelings and strategies.

I never knew a lawyer who was that foolish; or arrogant. But I repeat myself. Certainly any lawyer who said what Bove reportedly said would be considered unfit for the Bar; or at least for the profession, by all the other lawyers.
