Blame Game

The losing teams are the ones who try to point out who is to blame. The championship teams are the ones who say don’t worry about it, we got this
He should have stuck with “Democrats are politicizing this tragedy.” Or just said this is a tragedy and a time for families to grieve. Because this doesn’t make any damned sense at all. WTF is that football analogy? Losing teams always try to figure out why they lost. Winning teams don’t need to.

Over 100 lives were lost in this tragedy. That’s exactly when we ask “What went wrong?”

Abbott said the Lege will be in special session soon, and they can assess what happened and how to prevent it. He should have stopped there. But then he had to make everyone in Texas look like thin-skinned boobs tired of being the subject of negative national attention. He could have said this is a time for the grieving families; and when the legislature meets will be a time for examining facts. But he embarrassed Texas, by behaving like Trump.

The city and county officials taking questions are clearly not used to national scrutiny. Abbott has sought national attention for years. He knows how to behave. He should do better than this.
