The Houston metropolitan area is one of the most ethnically diverse in the country. Just north of Houston, in Humble, Ted Cruz warned that Beto O'Rourke wouldn't bring tofu to Texas. I could take the Senator to several places near my house that would serve or sell him some. Just south of Houston is Fort Bend County, which is 20% Asian, many of them Hindu. That was the local GOP's idea of outreach.Asking Hindu-Americans if they would rather vote for a donkey or an elephant by comparing Ganesha, a religious figure, to a political party is highly inappropriate.— Sri Preston Kulkarni (@SriPKulkarni) September 18, 2018
The Fort Bend County Republican party must retract this ad. https://t.co/zHyqux9Soc pic.twitter.com/z1Us2oVQ5L
I'm trying to imagine using this famous picture of Jesus as if he were canvassing for votes. Or a picture of a manger with the caption: "What Jesus wants for Christmas is a GOP majority."
Yeah, it's about that clumsy. You gotta ask yourself: how do these guys keep winning?
