Ask any national security professional in the military, Defense Department, intelligence community, FBI or Justice Department what would happen to them out they accepted stolen material from the Russians. https://t.co/gKPVBk8u0V— John Sipher (@john_sipher) April 21, 2019
I'll help: Depending on WHO it was and how it happened, you'd lose your clearance for two weeks (accidental) to permanent loss (intentional meeting non disclosure). You'd have a hard time working again with the latter and would likely never be issued a clearance again.— REDACTED (@mrshellwinger) April 22, 2019
I should be clear that If it was intentional and you're a government employee - intentional meeting, non disclosure can, depending on circumstances, result in a prison term not just firing and loss of clearance.— REDACTED (@mrshellwinger) April 22, 2019
Not. At. All. In my situation I was cleared for X and Y was a parallel Team B effort. I knew all the details already, but it was the existence of Y that caused the brouhaha. https://t.co/daZzRLyDOL— Rick Wilson (@TheRickWilson) April 22, 2019
Rudy Giuliani says "Nothing to see here, accepting intelligence from Russia" is fine.
“Americans should be very worried about that language. It means it’s open season to interfere in the American election,” Alksne replied and then dropped a brutal attack on Giuliani’s integrity that left Jackson stunned. From "America's Mayor" to "pathetic excuse for a shill." Quite a trajectory; and it took some effort to pull it off.
“Whatever was left of Rudy Giuliani’s reputation has now just swirled down the last bit of the drain. That’s just a shocking thing for a law enforcement person to say,” Alksne said. “He had a great reputation as a law enforcement officer, and now he’s just a pathetic excuse for a shill.”
“I don’t know where to go on that piece as you vividly put it,” a wide-eyed Jackson said, as Alksne muttered that Rudy’s spiral was “so depressing.”
“There are those who would say Giuliani is doing what his job is which is get out there and defend his client,” Jackson said, but Alksne cut her off.
“His job is not to be a lawyer, I can tell you that,” she said. “No lawyer would say such a thing.”
