Here is Turley's 1998 opening statement from the Clinton impeachment hearings. It's a bit different than the opening statement he is giving today: https://t.co/U254PS1iCw https://t.co/O9BEx1uHdB— Susan Hennessey (@Susan_Hennessey) December 4, 2019
Here is what Turley said about impeachment and presidential misconduct back then. pic.twitter.com/vBw5WeNEfF— Susan Hennessey (@Susan_Hennessey) December 4, 2019
From Turley's 1998 opening:— National Staple Gun Association (@StapleGunRights) December 4, 2019
"When Congress decides that certain criminal conduct does not rise to the level of impeachable offenses, it is defining a permissible parameter for future presidential conduct. Executive power will fill the space created by any decision of this body."
Turley, despite having a “name,” was known as the worst Torts professor for 1Ls at GW. Spent 75% of his time regaling stories about himself rather than teaching.— (((Ænima))) (@larrybofinkle1) December 4, 2019
I wouldn't have posted that but, since I first saw Turley on Olbermann's late, lamented "Countdown," I've seen nothing to dissuade me from the fact he loves to be in front of a microphone. That and legal analysis is not his strong suit.
