Sure, let's do that!
.@PeterAlexander pushes the president on what he says to Americans who say he’s giving false hope. Trump tells him he’s a terrible reporter. Voice starts rising. “Let’s see if it works. It might and it might not. Who knows, I’ve been right a lot.”— Maggie Haberman (@maggieNYT) March 20, 2020
The next reporter was FOX news. No way they will stay on topic. The next question from them is always, What is your favorite color? or is Pasta tasty?— Mickey Keenan (@MickeyKeenan) March 20, 2020
And that's how Trump will respond. After he's yelled at all the "fake news" reporters and called them "nasty" and said they're all as unfair as Peter Alexander (because they don't praise the brave and bold leadership of Dear Leader), he'll continue to insist he's "been right a lot." Continuing to attack his credibility (can you attack what he doesn't have) isn't really a serious response to the problem. And by not letting the President make the problem the press, we can keep the focus on where the problem is. All while using our inside voices:
I don’t think Peter Alexander was asking too much by asking the President to calm the fears of Americans. People are scared. It’s a natural response in times of uncertainty. We need our leaders to lead. Not berate.— Marcee Hinds (@MarceeHinds) March 20, 2020
