Amerling helped draft yet another letter to Bannon's attorney, notifying him that he was "in non-compliance" with the subpoena and that the House Select Committee would meet Oct. 19, 2021 to consider a criminal referral resolution for Bannon. 18/x

Instead, Bannon lawyers cited a lawsuit filed by former President Trump against the committee, asking for a one-week delay. The panel considered that lawsuit "immaterial," witness Kristin Amerling testifies, and ultimately proceeded with the contempt resolution. 20/x

Kristin Amerling says 1,000+ people have been interviewed formally or informally by the Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 attack. She's been personally involved in the "many dozens" of subpoenas & says the committee "always welcomes relevant documents." 22/x

"Human"? What, they think it was a Twitter bot?Prosecutor Amanda Vaughn earlier told the judge that the House witness is testifying voluntarily and that issues involving the Constitution's "speech or debate clause" might crop up at points depending on the cross examination. Corcoran shows the witness a document (which may be notes of her interview with the FBI) but it says nothing about when Kristin Amerling signed the "proof of service" form for the Bannon subpoena, or what if anything she told the FBI about that, so Corcoran moves on. 26/x

Honestly not seeing a whole lot of value for the money, here. Jury may conclude Bannon is wasting their time, too. Speaking of the jury:Corcoran asks if the witness has first-hand knowledge if Steve Bannon has any documents responsive to the subpoena, and Kristin Amerling says she has "no basis" for knowing that given the lack of information from Bannon. We're now taking a lunch break. 27/x

Not exactly winning the jury's sympathies.Morning courtroom pooler @JordanOnRecord says that while Bannon removed his mask immediately this morning when the judge gave a green light, "no members of the jury did so." 16/x
