What you think from reading Twitter (mostly) and want to be true (more importantly), will not secure a conviction in court.Just as an example: Johnny Durham charged Igor Danchenko based on Sergei Millian's claims on twitter. That was a foolish decision, and he looked like an idiot when Millian refused to testify.

In fact, that’s exactly what happened in the Durham case (and cases), isn’t it? They were the House Committee hearings in a courtroom, where standards are a little higher than wishing in one hand without pissing in the other to see which one fills up. And even then those hearings, outside a courtroom, were such a farce they don’t seem to be planning others soon.
Spend too much time fighting dragons, you become one yourself. I’d much rather Gaetz never be indicted than claim vindication from a jury of his peers because the prosecution wasted everybody’s time.
And yeah, there were known problems with the allegations (if you wanted to know them):
Keep in mind a lot of what we heard abt Gaetz's corruption over years came from people in Greenberg's camp trying to increase the value of Greenberg's cooperation.

Greenberg had a big incentive to present the claims as unassailable, w/o any consideration of his value as witness
