Speaking In Code

Tl;dr: language is words, words can be clubs (this can be established without appeals to authority). Words are also lingo, used to distinguish those within the group from those without. (We all do it!) Or terminology, used to facilitate communication. Except “all professions are a conspiracy against the laity.” Which, like most of Shaw’s observations, sheds more heat than light.

“Coded language” is itself terminology. Are these things right or wrong?

Words can be divisive. Don’t let them be. Do be a do bee, don’t be a don’t bee. 🐝

Kumbayah, while you’re at it.
