Getting Across

I’ve known good lawyers who effectively told their clients: “Shut up and let me do my job.” Hell, I wasn’t a good lawyer (I was a middling lawyer), and I had to do that.

If you can’t do that, you walk away.
This is the point where you, as the lawyer, need to just sit down. And that’s part of the why. And that’s why they don’t. If only because: And the more this drags out, the more the jury checks out.

  1. I hadn't known her back story before now, it's a shame she never got to go to college because she's smarter than Trump's lawyers.

  2. On direct examination it came out she had a full scholarship to college for veterinary science. With no family support she couldn't figure out the cost to move and other expenses and so ended up not going. Instead she found work as a stripper and everything went from there. I found it very sad, even when as society we offer help we don't provide in a way that is helpful to those need. A life opportunity lost because she didn't get the support she needed.
