7-Up!

 

I don’t have a collection of whimsical bottles, but I do have a small collection of 7-Up bottles, including the two shown here.

7-Up was an important part of my childhood, for reasons I’m not going to go into here. The bottle labels I grew up with began to disappear in my adolescence, so I started keeping an example of them (not 20; just one). The one with the swimmer on the left side was the one I remember from earliest days. It was disappearing, as was the other style, also shown here. Then I got examples the newer labels, and found some really old, brown ones. And then cans and still newer label designs. 

And then I quit. Pretty much stopped drinking 7-Up,  too. Too sweet.

Anyway, the picture made me think of that.

You just never know about people, do you?
