The Myth Of “Negotiations”

I call bullshit. Putin would only agree to that over his dead body. And Trump despises NATO. So, the point was…?
"You don’t have the cards,” redux.
Rubio: Well, first, I think that’s something that a lot of people go around saying that I don't necessarily think is true. I don't think new sanctions on Russia are going to force them to accept a cease-fire

Welker: A lot of people have heard President Trump threaten sanctions for months and they are wondering, are they empty threats? Why hasn't he punished Putin to date for this war since taking office?
Pee tape?
RADDATZ: The president said that was the aim
WHAT NEGOTIATIONS?
WITKOFF: I think part of the discussion we're gonna have Monday is exactly the specifics of what the Ukrainians feel they need
So is it, or is it not, “Biden’s war”? Whatever it is, we can't do anything about it? I guess not. Yeah. Sure. What would your old buddy, John McCain, say about that? Concepts of a plan?
Brennan: I was in Alaska watching the one with Putin where a red carpet was rolled out --
BAM! SMACK! POW!
Brennan: The president told those European leaders last week he wanted a ceasefire. He went on television and said he would walk out of the meeting if Putin didn't agree to one, he said there would be severe consequences if he didn’t agree to one. He spent three hours talking to Putin and he did not get one.

Rubio: Our goal is not to stage only production for the world to say how dramatic, he walked out.
"Our goal is for the President to cancel lunch and sulk like a child who didn’t get dessert, at an international press conference.” And beat Trump like a rented mule.
