I guess I don't see your point here. It kinda reads like "what took you dummies so long to get it". If the only way we slow/stop/remove/whatever Trump depends on "normies" turning on him this is what it's going to look like.
ReplyDeleteI get bitter sometimes. I should welcome them to the party, but today I can’t help the “No shit, Sherlock!” response. Trump was bad the first time around, but the moment he pardoned every person involved in attacking the Capitol, I can’t help but wonder why it took this long. My take is, they are blinded by the narrative: we can’t elect a dangerous ignoramous to the Oval Office, can we? I’m out of patience with “serious thinkers” who have to see the undeniable reality in their realm of expertise before they see.

O boy do I understand the bitterness. Spent a big part of the morning swallowing my own so I could carefully explain what I thought was wrong about the invasion of Minneapolis to someone who is not dumb at all, just kinda disengaged and soaking in Fox propaganda (the most popular local radio station is foxed-up). It's amazing that Trump had to go so far to get people just dimly aware of what a mistake he is. It just didn't have to be this way, and yeah it's damn hard not to be angry about it.
