As Molly Ivins So Often Said:

"It’s a representative government.” Where else but South Carolina? Home of Fort Sumter. I saw worse in the’60’s. Except now, the states are the “good guys.” Remember when the GOP called the states “laboratories of democracy”? Pepperidge Farm remembers. Well, that’s still the narrative. But can somebody explain that to Sen. Cassidy?

It would seem narratives aren’t reality after all.
STOP THE PRESSES! THIS IS NEWS!!!!!!!! Another proud graduate of the Trump University School of Law.  Although…has J.D. Vance approved this yet? (And no, if you were wondering; not even the Insurrection Act would give Trump the authority to do that. That would be martial law, and there is no provision for suspending the Constitution (10th Amendment in particular) in the Constitution.) Well, the Senate won’t vote to remove (probably not even in ‘27-‘28), and we’d get the same Administration, with Vance as POTUS.

We need Congress to grow a spine.

We’re fucked, aren’t we? All for the price of eggs.๐Ÿณ

  1. I've read that Miller quote a little differently than some people: to me, he's trying to say Walz and Frey have ordered the MN law enforcement to sit on their hands, and he had to order the invasion to save the city.

it worries me that I might understand Stephen Miller. I may need to start drinking heavily

  2. No, I see that now. It’s still based in xenophobia and racism, but it can be read as using the Feds as the last resort. Ironically, that’s how they were used in the civil rights movement. Miller probably thinks he’s protecting the civil rights of white men.
