This is beyond incompetence. It is becoming criminal, in the lowest sense of that word.
And btw: the Post has corrected that story:
A Sept. 4 article on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina incorrectly said that Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Babineaux Blanco (D) had not declared a state of emergency. She declared an emergency on Aug. 26.
Something Atrios was complaining about earlier. Better late than never, I suppose. But the correction underlines the paucity of the government's spin job.
This story will not go gentle into that good night. Nor should it.
