Come back, Beto! All is Forgiven!

Annise Parker is the former mayor of Houston.

And she's absolutely right.  After the shootings in El Paso, Beto is supercharged in Texas, and even Cornyn would be vulnerable to him.  If only because:

Even Ted Cruz was replayed on NPR this morning calling for "both sides" to lower the temperature in the room.  Cruz was a bomb-thrower, but now he's scared by what's been unleashed.*  No one is going to take him seriously, but tectonic plates are shifting.  Beto needs to get on the right side of the fault lines.

*After all, it wasn't that long ago Cruz said publicly that:  "We need 100 more like Jesse Helms in the U.S. Senate." He's not really concerned that this has become mainstream conservative thinking.   I think he's just scared shitless about the political ground rumbling beneath his feet.  He sees the changes in Texas politics coming, and he's not so sure 2020 won't be the tsunami some are expecting.
