Dan Crenshaw, 6/11: Houston “has enormous hospital capacity. Quit fear mongering!”— Heath Mayo (@HeathMayo) June 25, 2020
Texas Medical Center, 6/24: “We will soon exceed ICU bed capacity in Houston.” https://t.co/XsPoSqdaeL
Have I mentioned that recently?
BREAKING: Texas @GovAbbott is putting any further reopening of the state's economy on hold. pic.twitter.com/lBr6LwU5gq— Matt Largey (@mattlargey) June 25, 2020
Crenshaw was prating about coronavirus and "reopening" Texas so loudly in late May that at first I thought he was some crank who'd called into the radio station; and then I thought he was the crank "conservative" guest on the panel; and only belatedly did I realize it was my freshman Congresscritter sounding like a crazed Trump voter.
Maybe he'll shut up now. Or preferably keep talking, and talk himself out of office in November. Support for Trump ain't what it used to be in this state, and I think support for not "fearing" the virus (as Crenshaw was screaming for) is about as popular as a hooker at Baptist Sunday school picnic. Or a beer; both would be about equally accepted there.
