According to a couple of shipping news websites, imports from not just China but all of the top 10 countries of origin sharply rebounded last month to near record levels. If this keeps up I assume this means the supply chain might be glitchy but will probably function well enough in the short term. I think there must be just enough left of Trump's mind to realize people dislike paying more but shortages would make them really angry.
ReplyDeleteSo our kids get their dolls, but can Dad afford that first cup if Xmas coffee?
ReplyDeleteI keep remembering inflation really wasn’t that bad under Biden (of course, I’m comparing to double digit inflation in the ‘70’s), but still voters were pissed. If inflation hits hard enough at Xmas, Trump is done.
