C’mon, People! Even Ken Paxton Knows Better!

๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
Unearthed footage shows Trump bragging about hiring a teenage girl because she was “so pretty.” When a woman asks how to become a flight attendant on his jet, he tells her, “You can work on my plane anytime,” then says having her onboard would be a “death wish” for him—comparing his lack of self-control to an alcoholic around Scotch.

Audience member: How many jets do you have and how would I apply to be a flight attendant?

Trump: I think she's hired. You're hired.

Now, I had a case, it was very interesting. A beautiful girl who was 17 or 18 applied to be a waitress. So beautiful. She's like a world-class beauty...my people came said, “But Mr. Trump, she has no experience.”

So I interviewed her anyway. Because she was so pretty. And I said, “Let me ask you, do you have any experience?” She goes, “No, sir.” I said, “When can you start?"

You know, you can work on my plane any time.

See, now if she worked on my plane, that's like a death wish for me, right? That's like an alcoholic. I have many friends. They're wonderful people. They're alcoholics. You put Scotch in front of them. It's like this would be my form of alcoholism.
He’s like an onion of sleaze, and every story peels back another layer. Funny thing about onions: all layers, no core. Which federal prosecutor, what crime (s), and who is under investigation? Any idea at all, or is it all TBD?

You’re just shooting in the dark, aren’t you?
And why the GOP needs five new districts in Texas, and shouldn’t hold town halls: This is a Republican district, right?

And then, the lagniappe:
He’s not even going to notice when that doesn’t happen.

  1. Funny thing, SCOTUS has made it practically impossible to convict for bribery. I could send these Texas legislators money for their past acts and it would be merely a "gratuity". As long as there isn't an explicit quid pro quo (and even then there would be other elements to prove), it's not bribery.

Alan Dershwitz's perogie kerfuffle has also been undermined by SCOTUS. Under 303 Creative, providing personal services to someone you dont like is compelled speech. Alan tried to do a little dance and argue that he was denied services because he is Jewish, trying to slot himself under the Massachusetts anti-descrimination laws. But the SCOTUS has undermined that avenue too. If selling a cake to a gay couple offends your religion, selling a perogie to a Jew if you think they killed Jesus or are heathens for not converting to Christianity equally offends your faith and cant be compelled. Those cases defend bigotry in all its forms, not just against gays. I dont the reactionaries on the court will act in good faith, they have already proved they won't, but Paxton amd Dershwitz would be climbing a mountain in either case. They are not winning these.

  2. Double irony: Ken Paxton was impeached for bribery. The Senate refused to convict. And now the worst political problem in his life is his wife divorcing him on “Biblical grounds.”

  3. This Mike Flood got his JD from the U of Nebraska but he's a Notre Dame product in his BA. Another liar lawyer who got his start in elite Catholic universities.
