He’s Circling Back To The Birth Certificate

You know he wants to. So, one more SS check? 2/3rds of the price of a tooth implant? I feel rich already. I can’t identify anything in that catalog that’s changed in 9 years 
It’s a good thing millions won’t be missing Thanksgiving dinner, and more won’t be able to fly to family and friends for that holiday. Nothing to worry the POTUS, IOW. WOW. What Dan said.
An end to the shutdown is in sight. A senior Dem Senator tells me there will be more than enough Democrats to vote in favor of re-opening the government tonight. They’ll get a promise of a vote on health care — but nothing more. Most of the Democratic leadership will likely vote against it.
So what at least 10 Senators learned from last Tuesday is: Thanksgiving is coming.  Not that SNAP benefits will straighten out and run smoothly in less than three weeks. Or hundreds of air traffic controllers will come out of the woodwork in that time. Gestures aren’t solutions, especially with this Administration.
Crystal FitzSimons, president of the Food Research & Action Center, stressed in a statement that “the Trump administration all along has had both the power and the authority to ensure that SNAP benefits continued uninterrupted, but chose not to act and to actively fight against providing this essential support.”

“Meanwhile, millions of Americans already struggling to make ends meet have been left scrambling to feed their families,” said FitzSimons. “Families and states are experiencing undue stress and anxiety with confusing messages coming from the administration. The Trump administration’s decision to continue to fight against providing SNAP benefits furthers the unprecedented humanitarian crisis driven by the loss of the nation’s most important and effective anti-hunger program.”
I mean, seriously.😒  Their argument right now is they fucked up by complying with a court order, so the states need to fix it, or the states will be punished. This is a time to settle? Dems won’t do anything but add to the chaos. They won’t get credit, just blame. Trump has it all fucked up, and 10 Democrats want to share the responsibility.

Ah, well. There are reports that everything is fluid. We’ll see which prediction plays out.

I see ICE/BP is rigorously enforcing that court order. Very seriously.

    Well, at least he can hold the large print version of his oath of office right side up and read it, though he should have been struck by lightning. Hegseth has the look of someone who is going to have to sit through a couple of hours' worth of whining and ranting from his "C-in-C"

    So far as the shutdown deal... I don't know what word to use for the Senators who would make this go. I kinda get the idea "we can't go into winter with people being starved" but I think they are kidding themselves that Vought won't do it anyway.

    there are a lot of people, here and around the world, who don't deserve what 49 point whatever % of the voters gave them- although *those* people deserve everything they get, good and hard. They monkeywrenched the whole thing on *nothing* more than "vibes"
