Something has happened to Chuck Todd. I view @MeetThePress almost every week. Today his tone — I mean his voice itself — was different, as if the gravity of events had sunk in and his patience with denial had run out. Now go to 0:32 in this clip and watch. pic.twitter.com/e7h7VpxFx5— Jay Rosen (@jayrosen_nyu) October 6, 2019
MTP just ran a Trump campaign ad that I could probably see on Trump's Twitter feed, but that I've avoided. I had the sound off, but the images told the story, and the story was not to extend the President's support. The appeal was solely to supporters.
On the program Rich Lowrie repeatedly said the Mueller report proved there was no collusion between Russia and Trump, so the impeachment hearings were baseless, too. No evidence. None whatsoever:
Kinda wondering how Rich explains that. The Russian embassy in the U.K. is *citing President Trump* to push back against allegations that the Russian gov't was responsible for the poisoning of Sergei Skripal and his daughter. https://t.co/Uce66ZVg6a— Felicia Sonmez (@feliciasonmez) October 6, 2019
And Ron Johnson was in blind panic mode in the interview with Chuck Todd (Chuck Todd!) I mean, he was so completely unhinged even Todd got tired of it (!):.
WATCH: @SenRonJohnson is asked why he winced & brings up a "conspiracy theory."@chucktodd: "I have no idea why we're going here. ... Can we please answer the question I asked you instead of trying to make Donald Trump feel better here that you're not criticizing him?" #MTP pic.twitter.com/41i7WPHQlF— Meet the Press (@MeetThePress) October 6, 2019
Yeah, he was that good.Never stop going on tv to defend the president, @RonJohnsonWI.— andy lassner (@andylassner) October 6, 2019
You’re doing the work of a thousand patriots.
Don’t listen to the haters.
Pretty much sums up the situation.Trump is in so much trouble not even Stephen Miller would do the Sunday shows— Jennifer Rubin (@JRubinBlogger) October 6, 2019
