January 20, 2021

Barring re-election, that's the day Trump loses all authority and is removed from the White House by force of law.

He won't linger.  He's too much of a coward.

Will he try to Bush v. Gore the election?  That case turned on a recount of a vote that favored Bush.  Unless it's only one state, and that state is contested by Biden, Trump can't look to the Supremes to repeat themselves, even if they want to.  Biden could use it, in that situation, but not Trump.  Any other shenanigans that tie up the electoral college just tosses it into the House.

Trump doesn't have a path to re-election that doesn't run through the ballot box.  He may "contest" the 2020 election; he did the same to the 2016 election.  But "contest" in this context means writing tweets, not filing legal actions.  He has no path that sees the courts place him back in power because he doesn't like the outcome.  And he can refuse to leave the White House up until noon on January 20, 2021.  After that, the Marines that salute him will escort him out under the arms, if necessary.  He'll be another private citizen, then.

So everybody put your hair back on, and quit acting like the President's word is law.  It never has been.  It never will be.
