...rise up with fleas." Sounds about right.
And Kobach says Trump knew and approved of it:
A) Imagine if Kobach was the GOP senate nominee right now B) Kobach claimed the wall project had the president's blessing https://t.co/oSu5VPNcXS— Maggie Haberman (@maggieNYT) August 20, 2020
"Bannon, through a non-profit identified as Non-Profit-1, used more than $1 million from We Build the Wall to "secretly" pay another defendant, Brian Kolfage, and cover hundreds of thousands of dollars in Bannon's personal expenses."https://t.co/MlKz8N2QgP— Jeremy Diamond (@JDiamond1) August 20, 2020

REPORTER: Sir, it's not just Steve Bannon. It's Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, Rick Gates, Paul Manafort. What's that say about your judgement and the culture of lawlessness around you?— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) August 20, 2020
TRUMP: Well, there was great lawlessness in the Obama administration. pic.twitter.com/sjRExKljrz
I remember all those felons being hauled off to prisons. Oh, wait, I don't. But historians of the Trump Administration do!
and part of what's extraordinary is they are not all on the hook for the same thing, like the Nixon campaign. an amazing diversity of alleged or proven criminality.https://t.co/3AJaGK5nx2— Alex Burns (@alexburnsNYT) August 20, 2020
Besides, Trump didn't know any of these people!
This is not a joke.— YS (@NYinLA2121) August 20, 2020
The White House just released this statement on Bannon’s arrest...” He <Trump> does not know the people involved with this project.”

Manafort's still in jail. Flynn is still fighting. Stone got his sentence commuted at the last minute. Trump might pardon Bannon in December, but that's the best he can hope for. (No, it wouldn't protect Trump, it would expose him. Pardoned criminals have no 5th amendment rights left for that crime, they can be forced to testify. So why would Trump do that?)
