White House told Cuomo's office that POTUS would be on this 12:15 call, per people briefed. But it's Pence, not POTUS, who is on right now.

A senior White House official tells me that although doctors are “encouraging him to rest,” the president is “active” today, which they explained means he’s been “making calls” and “talking to people,” including members of the White House staff and members of Congress.

It has now been more than 12 hours since this tweet in which Trump confirmed his positive COVID-19 diagnosis and the American public has not, in any form, heard from the president since then https://t.co/qLTm3MoyIh

The press secretary says on Fox News that she doesn’t know when President Trump found out that Hope Hicks tested positive.

Trump "has been in crowded settings repeatedly over the last week and it is possible he infected Ms. Hicks rather than the other way around." https://t.co/fKuFPxwCOD

Really not an acceptable answer anymore. This has long been true of this White House and the president's health, a stance that is probably helping to fuel a lot of the baseless conspiracy theories about whether the president really has Covid. https://t.co/DxQLEGxvmv

Breaking—Nancy Pelosi has just been contacted by the White House on the protocols of continuity of government, according to MSNBC.

Pelosi also tested for #COVID19. Results pending.
Getting serious folks.
Assumes facts not in evidence.I wish the president, his family and his aides a speedy recovery.

I also wish they'd taken this thing seriously from the start. Maybe now that it's hit them personally they'll finally care about the rest of us.
I really think the utter incompetence of this Administration is absolutely undeniable. The people behind the botched coronavirus response that resulted in the preventable deaths of thousands of people have no idea how it spreads https://t.co/Z2CUo2uqjM

The world is a narrative. If you put a virus on the table in Act One...
— Charles P. Pierce (@CharlesPPierce) October 2, 2020
And we're not even to Act III yet.WH economic advisor Larry Kudlow says Trump has a "very moderate case" of coronavirus. According to health experts who have looked at the data, it can take more than 5 days after symptom onset for those symptoms to worsen. It is too early to know how mild/severe his case may be.

About as dysfunctional as things can get...
