The most effective response to this editorial is for Trump’s lawyers to bring it up before the magistrate who issued the search warrant and see what happens. This might be the dumbest thing I’ve read all day. A canon of statutory construction is that laws are meant to be read in harmony, unless otherwise specified by Congress. Nothing in the PRA explicitly invalidates any criminal statute. In fact, they’re complementary. Next. https://t.co/ShXlHaM0Tn

Clownish legal arguments aren’t worth engaging outside a courtroom. Put your money where your mouth is in the only arena that matters. Because, honestly, in the pages of a newspaper you can say any damned fool thing you want.
Try that in court. Ask Steve Bannon how it works out.
