Barr is clearly trying to clean the Trump stank off. (For a bit more on that, consider Barr's involvement in preventing the prosecution of Roger Stone, something that came out of the Mueller Report. It appears, per emptywheel, that Stone was involved in an attempt with GRU (Russia) to help LePen win over Macron via some photographs which are now part of the "documents" retrieved by the FBI from MAL.) But not even the flow of all the rivers in the world can do that. Still, nice to see him telling the truth, for once.

The conservative narrative is normative, even as Trump and the GOP push it into sedition. It really couldn't be clearer, could it?

That would work better if the media had actually reported on Trump's statement. Which they barely did.
