Now I only see my wife and daughter on a regular basis. It's more than enough. And I NEVER talk on the telephone. Never have liked doing that, either. Except, again, with my wife or my daughter.
No, I am not making this up.
I was thoroughly enjoying not having a phone when I didn't reconnect my land line. No pollsters, no calls reporting "something's wrong with your Macintosh or Window's computer" (though I miss confounding them when I say I don't have either of those OSes). Then my sister told her grandson his old great-uncle didn't have a phone so he bought me a trackphone (or however that's spelled) and now my young nieces badger
ReplyDeleteme because I don't keep it on 24-7 because "something might happen." One of them told me she was going to tell her cousin (less than half my age) that I wasn't.
I hate phones almost as much as I hate TV.
