(The idea here is to purify the Texas GOP by closing primaries to only “members” of the GOP. But that status is not defined in Texas law, and without that, how does the Texas GOP determine who is allowed to vote? Well, quite simply, they don’t. But they think they can. Because…GOP? Sure, why not?)
