FDR didn’t build the Pentagon as a military center. That was supposed to be temporary. Its real purpose was to house government records.Rep. Brian Mast: "This has gone on and it does deplete US stockpiles, but those stockpiles exist for us to use" pic.twitter.com/mcN4VpcgdJ

Then Korea followed WWII, and lit the match for the Cold War.
And yes, the greatest fear of the nuclear buildup of that “war” was that we were building them to use them. Mast may think he’s limiting the word “stockpiles,” but even if he does, it doesn’t mean we can restock them by Christmas.
And why do we have a standing military we pay billions for if it runs out of munitions this fast? Maybe because ETTD?
These people are so effin' stupid. They can't understand the intimidation factor of a large stockpile of weapons/munitions begins to lose value the moment you start using it- probably about as quickly as the new car you drive off the lot loses value.
ReplyDeleteRussia had a big, scary army that turned out to be a paper tiger (I mean, when you need help from North Korea to hold your ground against Ukraine). Now we can’t beat Iran because we not only won’t put boots on the ground (nor should we), but we can’t even keep our ships supplied. Or bring them into port for relief.
DeleteIt’s a double whammy of incompetence and arrogance. Funny how little it took to expose it.
